Title: XBOX ONE help please
Post by: Phoenixxx on January 16, 2016, 07:34:29 AM
Hi All,
I received my Reasnow Crosshair in the mail yesterday.
I have read all of the manuals and watched several videos, but I am unable to get it working . . . .
I have connected it correctly and set it up in the software, new firmware revision, but it doesn't seem to work?
I am trying to plat Forza 6 with a G27, even trying Black Ops 3, no change with the status of the crosshair.
I have set up both Forza 5 and a custom game in the software, no luck.
When I have everything plugged in, the crosshair beeps twice and stays in the breathing colour, no matter what I do it wont change to play mode.
I only have the XB1 controller, the G27 and the console, no keyboard or mouse . . . . .
Any assistance is appreciated.
Cheers All.

**UPDATE**
All it does is beep twice and stays in the light blue / white colour.
I have tried everything!

two beeps and stable white color means that Cross Hair does not find the controller.
please replace the USB cable which is used to connect your controller to Cross Hair with a new qualified one,

Further more, you should follow the steps below carefully:

Firstly, connect the original controller (USB PORT1) and your G27 (USB PORT2-3) to Cross Hair,
then connect Cross Hair to console.

And the topic below will guide your through most of the trouble.

Thank you Richard I will give that a try.
I thought I was using the original cable, I know it is the original controller, but with kids in the house who knows.
Thanks you very much for your swift response, I'll test it out tonight when I get a chance.
Cheers All.

I got it to work, apparently the charge cables that we receive here in Australia are not the same thing and the new Xbox One's do not come with a cable.
I have set everything up and the wheel works as it should except for the deadband, it makes the game completely unplayable.
I am guessing I should wait until the Forza 6 software comes out?
Is there anything else I can do to turn the deadband to zero, I would rather have no deadband at all.

Cheers All.

you may try setting the "sensitivty" for Steering Wheel in Cross Hair Manager to a smaller value,
it will improve the result.

But as Forza 5's configuration is a legacy mode racing game, so do not expect too much:)

we will try to add an expert mode Forza 6 support later!

Do you know roughly when we will see the update for Forza 6?
Thanks,

It might be March, 2016. But it's just my estimation.
it will depend on the progress of our R&D department.

Sorry, expert mode on Xbox one is really hard to tackle.
but we will stick to this, although it will cost us much more time than expected.

Is forza 6 available in expert mode?

No, it's legacy mode. But it's our enhanced legacy mode,
much better than the previous one.

What is the difference between the old and the new legacy mode? Is it still read the wheel as a controller ?

Yes, in legacy mode, your wheel will still be treated as a controller.
but you will feel much better in this new enhance legacy mode.

wheel is more sensitive,
better vibration and feedback.

Hi I just received one of your GREAT converters and i love it so far. I noticed you had a beta manager for the crosshair.  I tried to download it, but the link returns a 500 error.

Is it still available or is it now part of the 1.41 stable software?

Thanks in advance.

if you would like to try our new presetted racing games,
you should still use V1.41.1

I found an error in the download link, and have it corrected.
please try it again,
you will have no problem now.

So are you still working on expert mode, or is that too hard to do?
