Title: PLEASE HELP! Xbox One X keyboard and mouse not working correctly

I've configured this device so many times, I've lost count. Everything is plugged in correctly but everytime I press a key; it either opens the home menu or does nothing. Can anyone explain why this $100 well recommended for ease device, doesn't work?
