Unable to connect to PC

When I connect to the pc, the s1 slowly lights up green white red one by one, then Windows pops up as unrecognized, then quickly flashes green blue red (previously at this step it was a straight change to no light). Preparing to reset firmware, press and hold button to connect to pc for green light, release and it immediately flashes green blue red light and buzzer rings 4 times, then repeats flashing. What should I do to fix it? The day before last I downloaded the xbox accessories app from the Microsoft store, opened it but didn't operate it, then uninstalled it; then this happened today.
