Title: Logitech Shifter only 2 buttons
Post by: l6-IFrank on June 21, 2024, 01:10:10 AM
Would it be possible to add 7 buttons to the Logitech Shifter instead of 2 using legacy mode?

Which model of the steering wheel are you using?

So, when you said 7 buttons before, which ones are you referring to?

I see. The traditional mode uses a steering wheel to simulate joystick operation. You can try mapping it in the key mapping menu.

Even if you configure the key mapping it won't work, because in legacy mode the 7 buttons turn into 2

in expert mode it shows that the gear has 7 buttons H1 to H7 and in legacy mode gears 1, 3 and 5 become LB and gears 2, 4 and 6 become RB.  So I can't use the 7 buttons in legacy mode, even after configuring the key mapping

I see, you're referring to the ability to use the shifter for shifting gears in the traditional mode, rather than mapping it to a joystick button, correct? Unfortunately, since the traditional mode converts the steering wheel into joystick output, the function key assignments will follow the game's settings. Therefore, your request cannot be accommodated.
