It's for Google's own streaming service,
So for $10 a month ($120 a year) you can play games in 4K 60FPS full HDR.
That's a better price than a gaming PC, A 2080TI for example costs $1300.

Being able to use Reasnow (M&K) will make it an ultimate gaming "pc"!

I Guess it also depends on what support Google will have, from what I understood they will only support their own controller as a input but this might be wrong

I think they will support other controllers on some platforms, check here(the last faq):
