Inconsistency with macro movement [+video]
« on: March 10, 2019, 05:37:43 PM »
Hi Reasnow team,
I am creating a macro that will help me edit builds etc a bit smoother and faster but I noticed a lot of inconsistency with macro movement making it impossible for me to create.

I sat around for 1.5 hours and couldn't get what I was doing wrong until I noticed that it moves differently each time.

See the video I attach below.
I always press the macro at same place. Sometimes it overshoots by almost double (Example in the end).
Video is 60 seconds.

The current macro is this simple:

It moves Right stick to the right for 100ms, Once.

That's all it does, It's set to once as well and not toggle / hold.

So when I click a button it moves the right stick to the right for 100ms.

But in the video it sometimes moves less, Sometimes moves more.

I do not interfer and press any other button.

Is it possible to fix this so it always move for exactly 100ms if that's what I set it to?
Thanks!

Hi Triforce,

Here some tips for you:
1. try a longer hold time for your macro, such as 1000ms.
sometimes, pressing one button might be longer than that,
and your macro might be triggered several times with just one pressing,
even if the macro is in once mode.
2. you can set a smaller strength for your right stick
so you can find a suitable hold time to get a small right stick movement.

PS,
your video is inaccessible to us.
can you send it to us in another way?

1. Increasing to 1000ms will defeat the purpose of the macro, It's supposed to be faster than a human hence the 100ms speed
1. I only press the key once and no other keys on the keyboard (I don't click it multiple times either),
The keyboard doesn't ghost etc either.

2. I need max strenght, otherwise it defeats the purpose.

Sent you an email, Please have a look

Hi Triforce,
we tested it here,
and seemingly, these variable movements showed in your video are caused by fortnite itself.
with the same time and strength, this game will put some small changes into it.
and these changes are observable, especially when the time span is small and the strength is big.

Aw snap,
Do you know if it's possible to make it still as fast as it's here but so it works every time,

Speed is king with this macro, Otherwise your faster with just a mouse

maybe you should try a smaller right stick strength and bigger hold time,
or lower the sensitivities in game.
