Hello,

I have followed all the instructions on your forum for updating the firmware on my CrossHair to make it S1 compliant so that I can use my Logitech G29 steering wheel on my PS5 with the converter.  I want to be able to play games like GTA5 and the Need4Speed series of games with the steering wheel.

The flash of the latest S1 firmware installed correctly on my CrossHair.  I connected the PS5 controller to the USB1 port, the brand new USB Bluetooth Dongle (ASUS USB-BT500) that I just bought from BestBuy, and even the steering wheel to the CrossHair first, and then I connected the CrossHair to the PS5 Console.  I made sure the PS5 was set to allow the controller to have communications mode in Wired Connection.  I ran the S1 Manager App on my iPhone 11 Pro Max.  It finds the servers.  It finds the CrossHair S1 firmware updated device.  However, it will not allow me to use the Manager App to configure any game profiles.  This is where the communications fail.

Instead of allowing me to use the app properly, the app constantly reports that the S1 device is booting and to try again later.  It never gets past that message.

At the same time, the CrossHair never goes to a red logo to indicate it is waiting to be managed by the app.  Instead, it keeps going through a circular process of turning on, showing the green logo for a short period, then going into an alternating color logo blink of green, blue, red.  Either that pattern continues forever, or one time it actually caused the device to add a reboot sequence to the loop.  That happened when I had the wheel connected.  When I disconnected the wheel, it returned to a steady looping pattern of green, blue, red on the logo color light.

I even tried pressing and holding the hidden reset button with a paperclip while plugged into the PS5 to see if it would reset and recognize the connection mode.  It did not.  Instead, it changed the logo to a light whiteish-blue colored light, indicating it was in use mode on the PS5.  At that point, the app could not even find the CrossHair S1 updated device anymore.

Nothing I am doing seems to be working.  This upgraded flashed firmware that is supposed to turn my CrossHair into an S1 device, and says that it did so successfully, is not allowing  configuration with your S1 app.  I would like to know why, and how to fix this so that it works as it is supposed to work with your firmware.  Thank you.

Hello
1. I just searched for the BT dongle you used, but I can't find any information about which chip it uses. We recommend using a dongle with a CSR8510 chip.
2. Could you send us a screenshot of the ReaSnow Manager App? It would be very helpful to solve this issue.
3. You can't play PS5 games directly with ReaSnow CrossHair on PS5, you may need an adapter such as P5Mate.
4. Judging from experience, we believe that there may be a problem with the data cable or USB port that prevents it from working properly. Please check.

Hello Austin,

I have given up on trying to get it to work with the PS5.  I have no idea what kind of BT receiver would be needed that would have CSR8510 chip or if its even available anymore today, and I have no interest in buying that plus another device to connect in between the crosshair and the PS5 controller.  That is ridiculous.

I have reinstalled the CrossHair firmware back onto the device so that I can try to use it with my PS4 console, since I still have that console and use it from time to time.

1. I downloaded the most recent version of the CrossHair Firmware from your website, which is 4.5.118.
2. I ran the 4.5.118 Manager.
3. I added a profile for NFS:Heat to the CrossHair.
4. I set that profile to the startup profile.
5. I saved the settings.
6. I exited the Manager App.
7. I unplugged the CrossHair from my computer.
8. I set the communications mode for controllers on the PS4 to Wired.
9. I logged out of the PS4.
10. I connected the original PS4 controller to the USB1 port.
11. I connected the wheel to USB2 port.
12. I connected the original Micro USB Cable that came with the CrossHair into the MicroUSB port on the CrossHair.
13. I plugged the other end of that cable into the USB port directly on the PS4.
14. It displays the green light steady for a few seconds and spins the wheel.
15. It then displays the purplish logo for a few seconds.
16. It then immediately goes into a rapid cycle of blue, red, green flashing instead of breathing white.

What is going on here.  It's now impossible to even get it to boot to my PS4 device.  This is so frustrating.

Update:  I just tried a new MicroUSB Cable to connect the controller to USB1 and it is now working again on my PS4 device.  Obviously that original MicroUSB Cable was defective.
