With firmware 5.6.251?

Thanks both of you for the replies!
Just wanted to update you ? the issue is actually with the latest firmware V5.6.251.
It?s not working with any keyboard in analog mode. I tested multiple ones (Wooting 60HE, Turtle Beach Vulcan TKL Pro, Keychron K2 HE, and even the Sony Nav). The moment you move the analog bind, the device gives 3 beeps with no LED indication.
I downgraded the firmware to V5.6.241, and now everything works perfectly again.
Looks like the beta firmware needs a fix.

Could you record a video demonstrating the issue? No one else has reported this problem so far.

Hi,
When I plug my controller into ReaSnow, I can see inputs in the ReaSnow app, but it doesn?t work on my PS5.
I?m using PS5 General.
Which ports should I use on ReaSnow for:
1. Controller
2. p5 general
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, have same issue.
If update S1 to 251 firmware, I have only 3 beebs without LED lights with any device: PC, PS5...
I've tried to use 5.7.2/5.7.3 versions - same result.
When I return 241 - it works good, but doesn't support P5General.
-
The GPT suggested that the issue was due to an early revision of the Reasnow S1. Is it true?
I have 214-105090 on back side of Reasnow

This point does not hold.

It would be best if you could record a video to demonstrate the issue for us. In theory, when used with the P5 General, the firmware version 5.6.251 should not exhibit the compatibility issues you've described.

Hi, I record video with issue. I try connect without any devices and with them, no matter.

I've seen the video you uploaded. In the video, some of your steps are incorrect. Here's what you need to do:
1. On your PC, update the ReaSnow S1 firmware to version 5.6.251 (DO NOT set the boot mode!).
2. Follow the tutorial for wiring: connect the ReaSnow S1 to the USB port on the rear of your PS5 Pro, and connect the P5General to the USB1 port on the S1.
3. At this point, the lights should illuminate normally and the device should boot up. If the S1 indicator light is faintly flickering (visible in a dark room), this indicates your PS5 Pro belongs to the latest production batch. Its USB port outputs a voltage significantly higher than the USB IF design specification, triggering the S1's overvoltage protection. You need to purchase a USB hub with an external power supply port. Connect the USB hub to the PS5 Pro's USB port, connect the S1 to the USB hub, and then connect the power supply to the USB hub's external power port (using a charger with a 5V 1A or higher current output specification).

Hi! I tried all the recommendations except using a hub with an external power supply, but nothing changed.
Some questions with your points:
1. I mean Auto mode?
3. Why 5.6.241 version have no issues with voltage?
-
Yes, I?m experiencing the exact same issue, as I mentioned before. Thanks nowdays for uploading the video. I?ve tried everything, but nothing works. Even if it works for a minute, as soon as you move the analog stick on the Azeron or Wooting in analog gamepad mode, the device immediately disconnects with a blue light and three beeps.
Yes, I also tried using a powered USB hub. The only time it works properly is when downgrading to firmware 241 and playing on Xbox or PC.
I eventually gave up and switched to the XIM Matrix. Personally, I prefer ReaSnow over Matrix, but releasing multiple firmware updates without proper testing is damaging the device.

3. Why 5.6.241 version have no issues with voltage?
1. Just a routine reminder. Since you've plugged the p5general into USB1, it won't run according to the preset mode.
3. We don't have a PS5 Pro here, but when I tested on our PS5, neither firmware version 5.6.241 nor 5.6.251 showed any voltage issues. This may be related to the S1's production date or the peripherals being used.

Hi! Following your advice, I specifically bought a USB hub with external power, and?as expected?the result is exactly the same: on version 241 everything works, while on version 251 there are 3 signals with no LED indication.
Here is the video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PVNej-FC_pwCrgB8-Y6ajDqvO-149f0m/view?usp=share_link
I don?t think the issue is with the PS5 or PS5 Pro, because the result is the same on both PC and PS5, with P5General connected and without it (see the previous video).
The new firmware version simply turns the ReaSnow into a brick.
If this were a power issue, it wouldn?t depend on the firmware version.

Things are getting stranger and stranger.
I conducted tests on our Macs. The models are a 2014 Mac mini (macOS 12) and a 2023 Mac mini (macOS 14). The 2014 model uses an Intel chip, while the 2023 model uses an Apple M2 chip. The firmware upgrade program version used is 3.4.1, matching the download link on the official website.
Test results show that upgrading to firmware version 5.6.251 on either Mac (tried both ?Update Only? and ?Update and Delete?) allows the device to function normally when connected to a PC or PS5.
We require you to provide the firmware upgrade program version you used, along with your Mac model and system version.
Alternatively, if you have a Windows PC, you can run the firmware upgrade program on that PC. The Mac version of the firmware upgrade program is less commonly used and may not be maintained as promptly, potentially causing issues on newer systems or newer Mac models.
-
We apologize, but since the Mac mini 2023 serves as our primary development machine, we cannot easily upgrade its system. Doing so could potentially disrupt the established development environment.

I also updated through Windows, and the result was the same.
Basically, I already threw out the Reasnow and bought a new one. Everything works fine with it, both on the same Mac and the same PS5.
You're probably still experiencing a device revision issue, and the new firmware only works on the latest devices. Try digging around there.

I will forward your issue to our technical team. The phenomenon you're experiencing does not align with typical patterns.

Update: We have identified another user experiencing the same issue, and this user has agreed to send us their S1 device for analysis. We will begin addressing this matter after the holiday break.
