Reasnow s1 controller support
« on: May 13, 2021, 09:56:04 PM »
Hi Richard!

Is it possible to add wireless controller support for this game via reasnow s1? https://playcaliber.com/en/

Please consider such option as the developer does not add controller support in near future.

playing games on PC has already been added to ReaSnow S1,
leave USB1 open, and connect S1 to PC,
then you can connect your controller to S1 wirelessly(Bluetooth).
your controller will be turned into a wired XBox 360 controller in this way.

use the "controller and joystick" config if you just want to play with a wireless controller.

Richard,

It says in the app: no reasnow device found.

Connected, however the game itself does not support controller, so looks impossible to use controller, please add config for this game to reasnow s1 profile.

the working principle of S1 is that it will turn keyboards and mice into a controller, or turn controllers into some other one.
if this game can't support controllers, it will need S1 to work in another completely different way.
we will assess this if there are sufficient requests:)

Richard,

Ok, fair enough! It’s a new tactical pc game that has a great potential. Also the controls are very simple, so I don’t think it’s problematic for your team to convert that from K&M into the controller.

BR, Alen.

thanks for your understanding!
yes, not a big deal for us.
but we need to make sure there are some demands for this in the market.

Richard,

The studio of the game creators opened the new server in the North America, so no doubts for the demand. Also you will have advantage against your competitors by creating config vise versa i.e. from K&M into the controller.

thanks for keeping us updated!
but since it's a shooting game for kb&ms,
why will you want to play it with a controller?

Hi Richard!

Just a small life hack, I have downloaded ds4windows and it works decently with dualshock, maybe you can copy that to s1 and add some macros to your device for better marketing.

since this ds4windows only turns your DS4 controller into an XB360 controller,
that means this game can accept XB360 controller as the input device.
am I right?

Richard,

The game doesn’t support controllers as developers stated, only K&M, however this program assigns and converts K&M buttons into controller sticks & buttons respectively. The game still thinks you play with K&M only. I was able to connect DS only.

Richard,

Yes, it emulates xbox360 controller by using DS as a source controller.

currently, if ReaSnow S1 is used on PC, it will also be recognized as an XB360 controller.
shall work in the same way.

to have S1 work as an XB360 controller, its USB1 shall be left open.
please check that.
and if more support in need, please send a video to show us how you are connecting them.

Richard, connected to laptop, however the s1 doesn’t see the mouse movements, even when I have assigned it properly.
