Help me!
« on: August 26, 2018, 05:28:49 AM »
Hi,

i used my Crosshair on my switch and it worked well for all the time, but since today, it wont work. I tried to connect it to the pc, but the logo is still red and ther is no beep. When i try to launch the crosshair manager there is an Error: Working mode (2) and then the Manager closes. I used the button and then connect it with the PC, then the logo will turn green and there are 4 beeps, in this situation i can open the manager and already upgraded the firmware to the newest. But when i close the manager and disconnect the crosshair and connect it again, the logo is again red and nothing is working!

I dont have any idea, what to do. Anyone, who can help me?! Sorry for my english, im from Germany.

1. have you ever tried to upgrade cross hair with "a upgrade tool" in this topic:
http://www.reasnow.com/forum/index.php?topic=25.0

2. do you know what has caused this trouble ?

3. your cross hair manager version? cross hair hardware version? etc

4. did you hear continous beeps while the LOGO is red?

1. I havenĀ“t tried to update the cross hair with an upgrade tool. But i tried it now. I downloaded the Upgrade Tool V4.0. Connected the Crosshair with pressing the button on the crosshair first and tried to upgrade. But the Programm say: This Cross Hair ist not supported!

2. I dont have any idea, what did this problem has caused. It worked fine all day, no problems, no connection errors.

3. I used the Crosshair manager version 4.5.25 and just updated it to the latest version 4.5.35, i also tried to downgrade the version, but there is no difference

4. No, when i connect the crosshair (without pressing the small button), the cross hair logo stays stable red, and there is no beep (not a single one).

Any other ideas?!

Please make Cross Hair work in repair mode(green logo with 4 beeps)
and run Cross Hair Manager,
and then click the "Question Mark" in the bottom right corner.
And copy all the version details and post them here.

Hi,
Here is a solution for you,
please try it as soon as possible.

1. download the latest Manager and run it,
http://www.reasnow.com/download/software/Cross Hair ManagerV4.5.38.zip

2. holding the hidden button on Cross Hair and connect it to PC,
make Cross Hair working in repair mode(stable green LOGO)

3. upgrade Cross Hair with Cross Hair ManagerV4.5.38,
Close the Manager and unplug Cross Hair from PC after successful upgrade.

4. download reset tool and run it,
http://www.reasnow.com/download/diagnose/Cross Hair Reset Tool V1.6.0.zip

5. connect Cross Hair to PC again,(stable red LOGO)

6. wait for the reset tool to fix it.
Close the reset tool and unplug Cross Hair from PC after successful fixing.

PS1: Use the latest Cross Hair Manager V4.5.38 and later versions for your Cross Hair,
DO NOT use our previous versions.
PS2: Do not leave Cross Hair connecting to SWITCH, while SWITCH is in Rest Mode,
SWITCH will reboot Cross Hair repeatedly during that.
     That might bring this trouble.

It worked!!!! Thank you so much!!! You say, that the converter should not stay in the switch during the rest mode, should i remove it every time i put the switch in the rest mode and connect the converter back, when i start playing?

so glad to hear that! 8)
and yes, you'd better remove cross hair from SWITCH, while SWITCH is in rest mode.
